Dear Parish Faithful,
FYI
Quite a full weekend for Terry and the Kairos ministry! Our special gratitude to Terry in continuing in this prison ministry over the years, and thus continuing to be a faithful representative of our parish in fulfillment of the Gospel command to "come to those in prison." (MT. 25:36)

Brethren in Christ,
I want to thank all of you who prayed for us, or baked cookies, or cooked meals, or just kept us in your thoughts during the Kairos weekend and the follow-up Saturday. It was a wonderful and Spirit filled adventure.
I was blest to be able to counsel an African Muslim who had just received Christ in his life. And I prayed with a man whose 26 yr old son had just died of a drug overdose. I also shared with two men who are going through painful and bitter divorces - one of them a new believer. And sadly, I shared with a gang member who knew that he is missing "someone," in his life, but likes the gang life of drugs and money too much to give his life to Christ. (But I'm not giving up on him. He gets prayed for daily.)
So, I want to thank you all for being part of this amazing weekend. God bless you.

Dear Parish Faithful,
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The next Kairos weekend (#20) is coming up soon. Team building will begin on Saturday, September 29, and the team will enter Warren Correctional on November 8. Any of our men would be welcome to take part. I will be in the church hall after liturgy this Sunday to answer questions and get you started on a Matthew 25 journey.
And Ladies, if you would like to be part of this weekend, Let me know. There are opportunities to take part in meal preparation. (I'll get you connected with the Kitchen Coordinator.) Or if you would like to be part of an inside team, we would welcome you to serve at the Dayton C I for Women. Let me know if you are interested.
And everyone, we will need Godly folks to pray for the weekend, and to make home-made cookies. There will be more information on these ministries in the near future.
Remember that it was Jesus who said, "I was in prison, and you visited me."
