Our parish will be hosting a Retreat on Saturday, November 4. Our guest speaker will be Fr. Paul Abernathy. Fr. Paul is a priest of the Antiochian Archdiocese, and he was the guest speaker at our recent Clergy Convocation in Chicago. He will be traveling to Cincinnati with his wife Kristina and their two children. We look forward to hosting Fr. Paul, and I encourage you to mark the date on your calendars and participate in the Retreat.  — Fr. Steven

 

 

RETREAT SCHEDULE

 

•   9:00am - 10:30am — Divine Liturgy

• 10:30am - 11:00am — Light Brunch

• 11:00am - 12:30pm — Session 1

• 12:30pm -  2:00pm — Lunch & Fellowship

•   2:00pm -  3:20pm — Session 2 with Q&A

•   3:30pm — Great Vespers and Dismissal

CHILD CARE AVAILABLE! 

Ages 3-11; No children in diapers, please.

Indicate in the online registration form if you need child care, and how many children.

 

A donation of $10 is suggested to help with costs, but no one will be turned away, and there is no fee to attend!  A donation basket will be provided at our registration table.

Fr. Paul Abernathy is an Orthodox Christian priest and founding pastor of St. Moses the Black Orthodox Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the founder and CEO of the Neighborhood Resilience Project, an Orthodox Christian nonprofit focusing on building resilient, healing, and healthy communities through Trauma Informed Community Development. He is a nationally renowned speaker whose work has been featured on NBC, ABC, CBS, BBC, Ard (German) TV, and NPR. Fr. Paul is a U.S. Army Iraq War veteran and holds master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary.
