Dear Parish Faithful,
We are entering that time of year when we, as stewards of the Church, will commit some of our financial resources to our parish in the form of a pledge.
This is both a privilege and a responsibility. By the grace of God it is a privilege to be a member of the Body of Christ and participate in the sacramental life of the Church within the context of our local parish of Christ the Savior/Holy Spirit. It is here that we work out our salvation. It is also a responsibility for each and every one of us to support our parish so that we can proclaim the Kingdom of God in an Orthodox manner now and in the future, hopefully from “generation to generation.” If every potential pledger proves to be a “cheerful giver,” then our parish will be both spiritually and materially healthy as the future unfolds before us.

The packet that has been carefully and thoughtfully prepared, and which you now have, contains items that are both familiar and new. Enclosed, therefore, via the links below you will find printable, PDF versions of:
- A modified pledge form that reflects a serious approach to Christian stewardship.
- A single sheet entitled “Stewardship 2013” that contains a spiritual view of stewardship, very important data concerning our present spending profile and a stretch proposal for 2013 and beyond.
- A tri-fold entitled “Our Stewardship Program – An Overview” that will hopefully expand and deepen every one’s understanding of stewardship on a theoretical and practical level.
Below this letter is the Stewardship 2013 single sheet in image form, which you can enlarge and view in your browser.
Orthodox Tradition respects not only the past, but future generations as well. In the light of Tradition, we will “hand down” to those future generations, in turn, this parish as a legacy to be sustained, treasured, and treated with love and respect as the local Body of Christ. Your generous pledge will make all of that a real possibility. Together, we hope to thank God by the sharing of our resources in a manner appropriate to practicing genuine Christian stewardship.
In Christ,
Fr. Steven
